HOISINGTON — Mark Edward Smith, 57, died April 27 at Via Christi St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita. Born May 8, 1953, in Hoisington, he was the son of Charles and Ruby (Payne) Smith. He was a lifetime resident of Claflin.

Mr. Smith was of the Southern Baptist Faith.

Survivors include a brother, Danny Smith of Great Bend; a sister, Cindy Smith of Claflin; three nephews; and five great nieces.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Monday at the Claflin Cemetery with the Rev. Ryan Alexander officiating. Friends may visit from 3-8 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, all at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington.
