Marlin Marvin Disque, 86, died Feb. 13, 2016, at River Bend Assisted Living, Great Bend. He was born June 18, 1929, at Claflin, the son of Adam and Margaret C. (Radenberg) Disque. He married Thresa Courange and they later divorced. He then married JoAnn Dunn and they later divorced. He was a plumber and was a long-time Hoisington resident.
Mr. Disque was a United States Army veteran.
He was a member of American Legion Argonne Post 180, Great Bend.
Survivors include four daughters, Debra Ann Rosenberg of Great Bend, Diane Kay Taylor of Percy, Ill., Cindy Sue Disque of Olathe, and LaDawn Gay Stegman and her husband Rick of Penrose, Colo.; four brothers, Charles Disque and his wife Verna of Claflin, Herman Disque of Stafford, Harvey Disque of Salina, and Walter Disque and wife Joyce of Claflin; five grandchildren, Shawn Rosenberg and wife Sally, Amber Todd and her husband Jason, Micah Rosenberg, Adam Stegman and Jacob Stegman; three step-grandchildren, Joey Taylor, Timmy Taylor, and Raymond Taylor; five great-grandchildren, Kristi Weiser, Lucas Rosenberg, Alyssa Rosenberg, Amelia Todd and Linus Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Sandra Marie Disque; three brothers, Martin Disque, Clarence Disque and Edgar Disque; and six sisters, Mabel Flickinger, Edna Disque, Grace Disque, Aline Howser, Leona Welch and Velma Disque.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 17 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Aaron Withrow officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
