LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Marvin Leonard Burfield, 72, passed away on July 8, 2016, at the University Hospital in Aurora, Colo. Born Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1943, at Fitzsimmons Army General Hospital in Aurora, Colo. he was the son of Marvel and Vera (Irvin) Burfield. In 1961, he graduated from Otis Rural High School. He was a graduate of Kansas State University. A resident of Lakewood, Colo. since 1968, coming from Amarillo, Texas, he was employed for the United States Government Department of Interior.
Survivors include his mother, Vera, Great Bend; three sons, Brand (Lori), of San Leanedro, Calif., Timothy (Suzi), of San Ramon, Calif., and Bryan of Lakewood, Colo.; a daughter, Kristina (Dr. F. Mark) Paz, of Littleton, Colo.; 12 grandchildren, Kim, Aaron, Rachael, Jeffrey, Kaili, Jacob, Madison, Alyssa, Tyler, Kelsie, Logan and Bronson; special ex-wife/friend, Judi Burfield; a sister
Andrea (Delbert) Nelson, of Great Bend; and two brothers, Brent (Margaret), of Miami, Fla. and the Rev. Bruce (Keli), of Belleville. He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 23, at the Newcomer Funeral Home in Denver, Colo. Condolences can be sent to Kristina Paz, 10640 W. Raspberry Mt., Littleton, CO 80217-3810.
