Marvin Leroy Brown 1939 - 2015

RADIUM — Marvin Leroy Brown, 75, passed away April 19, at his home in Radium. Born July 8, 1939, in Great Bend, he was the son of J.P. and Frances (Ward) Brown. A resident of Radium since 1985, he was a welder. On Feb. 14, 1985, he married Lana C. (Mettscher) in Kansas City, MO. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include two sons, Lawrence Brown of Arizona and Michael Brown of Tennessee; two stepsons, Ricky Pugh of Wichita and Rocky Pugh of Great Bend; a stepdaughter, Tiara Purcell of Great Bend; two sisters, Margaret Thomas of Russell and Linda Woods of Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, David, Jerry and Russell.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Fairview Park Cemetery in St. John with Pastor Larry Schumacher presiding. There will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of the funeral home.
