LARNED — Mary Alice Stegman, 86, died March 25, 2012 at Hospice of Reno County in Hutchinson.
Born Oct. 18, 1925 in Burdett, she was the daughter of Dewey and Elizabeth Anne Browne Fagen.
A resident of Larned since 2004, formerly of Bellevue, Wash., she was a homemaker. On Oct. 18, 1949, she married Paul W. Stegman in Burdett. He died May 30, 2007.
Mrs. Stegman was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned.
Survivors include, two sons, Joseph, Thousand Oaks, Calif.; and Thomas, Maple Valley, Wash.; three daughters, Libby Julian, Garnett; Paula Ann Stegman, Pasco, Wash.; and Rebecca Cain, Burdett; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a two sisters, Ella VanMeter and Barbara Olsen.
Vigil service is scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday at Morell Funeral Home in Larned. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Browns Grove Cemetery in Burdett.
Friends may call from noon until 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.
