LARNED — Mary Beth Herrmann, 59, died on Feb. 18, at Diversicare of Larned. Born Feb. 23, 1955, in Kinsley, she was the daughter of Quentin J. and Lucy W. Tholen Herrmann. She graduated from Barton County Community College with an A.A. in Nursing and from Barclay College with a B.S. in Business Administration. A lifetime area resident, she was a Registered Nurse and Administrator at the Pawnee County Health Department.
Ms. Herrmann was a member of the Modern Homemaker FCE, Pawnee Co. Community Health Organization, Daughters of Isabella, Class of Leadership of Larned, Sacred Heart Pastor Parish Committee, Past President of Pawnee Co. Emergency Management Region and a Communion Stewart.
Survivors include, her mother, Lucy Herrmann of Kinsley; one brother, Mike Herrmann of Kinsley; one sister, Dee Kaster of Burlington, Colo.; one brother-in-law, Jerry Bates of Lamar, Colo.; twelve nieces and nephews; and eight great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Quentin J. Herrmann and her sister, Pat Bates.
Celebration of life will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Larned with Father Warren Stecklein presiding. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Kinsley. Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. today at the Beckwith Mortuary Chapel in Larned. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. today at Beckwith Mortuary. Memorials may be given to the Pawnee Co. Health Department in care of the funeral home.
