GARFIELD — Mary “Charlene” Hainer, 56, passed away Jan. 17, 2017, at BSA Health System in Amarillo, Texas. Born Sept. 11, 1960, in Larned, she was the daughter of Charles Clement and Mary Louise Hall Lange. On May 20, 1979, she married Jesse Dean Hainer in Larned. He survives. A longtime area resident, she was a happy homemaker, beloved and dedicated wife of 37 years. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and crafts, including tatting, crocheting and painting. Throughout the years while traveling with her husband, Jesse, they accumulated an extravagant rock collection from all over the U.S.A.
Mrs. Hainer was a member of the Larned Assembly of God Church.
Other survivors include her mother, Mary Louise Lange of Larned; mother-in-law, Rosetta (Charlie) Miller of Amarillo, Texas; children, Vanessa (Timothy) Weets, of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, Jared (Jamie) Hainer, of Garfield, and Jamie (Michael) Wagner, Sarah (Jason) Zink and Katie Hainer, all of Larned; brother, Dr. Charles (Sabrina) Lange, of Garden City; sister, Karla (Mark) Buck, of Hutchinson; brothers- and sisters-in-law, Charles (Deb) Hainer, of Colfax, Iowa, Rebecca Hainer of Amarillo, Texas, Renee Hainer of Tulsa, Okla., and Errol (Dena) Hainer of Amarillo, Texas; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Clement Lange; and father-in-law, Donald Dean Hainer.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 21, at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned with the Rev. Ryan Webster and the Rev. Errol Hainer presiding. Burial will be in the Garfield Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, with family present from 4-6 p.m., at the mortuary.
