GREAT BEND — Mary JoAnn Hill, 82, died June 28, 2012 at her home in Great Bend.
She was born Feb. 3, 1930 at Bushton, the daughter of Joseph B. and Ella C. (Schneweis) Habiger.
She was a 1948 graduate of Holyrood High School.  She worked at Seitz Drug Store where she met Bill Hill. They were married Sept. 11, 1950 at Holyrood, Kansas.  Mary and Bill lived in Ellinwood for many years before moving to rural Ellis County, Kansas, in 1978.  They moved to Great Bend in 1989.  
Family and faith were important to Mary, who enjoyed organizing reunions for her extended family each summer and kept scrapbooks of family photos and news clippings of their accomplishments. She also delighted in spending time with her high school classmates.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and Daughters of Isabella. She served funeral dinners at St. Rose as a part of the Altar Society and faithfully attended Mass each week.
Survivors include her husband Bill Hill, of the home; three sons, Dr. Lary M. Hill and his wife Diane, Andover; Mark D. Hill and his wife Scarlett, Hoxie; Kevin L. Hill and his wife Teresa, Marion; a brother, Tom Habiger, Grants, N.M.; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Sarah and Chris Green, Topeka; Clayton, Carly and Dason Hill, Hays; Kathryn Hill, Overland Park; Shea Hill, Hoxie; Cori, Cody, Tait and Maycee Younkin, Oakley; Jonathan Hill, Andover; Nellie Hill, Marion; Heath Hill, Salina; and Cassidy Hill, Marion; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Habiger and Joe Habiger, and a sister, Elaine Sayler.
Altar Society Rosary is scheduled at 4 p.m., Sunday, July 1 at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil Service with Daughters of Isabella Rosary will start at 7 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10:30 a.m.  Monday, July 2 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation is scheduled from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace Altar Society or Hospice Care of Kansas, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
