PAWNEE ROCK – Mary Katherine Hinkle, 67, died Dec. 17, 2016 at the Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned. Born Oct. 23, 1949 in Rogers, Ark., she was the daughter of Burl and Cleva (Dean) Schell. Mary worked in the laundry service and she was a volunteer for Community Support Service Program in Dodge City.
Survivors include: son Leland (Mickey) Hinkel, Chanute; daughter, Melissa Hinkel Hartman, Chanute; two brothers, Curt (Connie) Schell, Derby, David (Donna) Schell, Ulysses; three sisters, Betty Lou (Joe) Billus, Pawnee Rock, Sara A. Mostrom, Great Bend, Debbie (Jim) Bowman, Albert; one granddaughter and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Tony Mostrom and a great-great niece, Kayla Parret.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pawnee Rock Cemetery, Pawnee Rock with Deacon Tonya Andrews presiding.
