HOISINGTON — Mary Lyne Grandclair, 61, died Nov. 15, 2015, at her residence in rural Hoisington. Born Oct. 10, 1954 at LaCrosse, she was the daughter of Edson and Melva (Donovan) Merlau.
Mary Lyne married Mitchell “Lee” Grandclair March 27, 1976 at Hoisington. She was USD 431 Assistant Transportation Director and bus driver for over 20 years. She Mary was a lifetime Hoisington, resident. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Hoisington.
Survivors include her husband, Mitchell “Lee” Grandclair, of the home; her father, Edson Merlau of Hoisington; three sons: Matthew Grandclair and his wife Amanda of Hoisington, Tyler Grandclair and his wife Jodi of Lincoln, and Wyatt Grandclair and his wife April of Hoisington; one sister, Anita Merlau of Tampa, Fla.; three brothers: Rondy Merlau of Wichita, Virgil Merlau of Wichita, and Jerome Merlau of Dallas, Texas; mother-in-law Mary Hunt of Kansas City; eight grandchildren: Cole, Madison, Grace, Hadley, Kiana, Emma, Kyler and Lane Grandclair; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Melva Merlau, and father-in-law, Leon Grandclair.
Funeral service will be Thursday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. at Hoisington High School Auditorium in Hoisington. As per Mary Lyne, guests are requested to arrive in casual dress with no black or dark colors. Officiant will be The Reverend Rueben Langat. Interment will be at Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 18, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington.
