LARNED - Marylee M. Phinney, 90, passed away December 15, 2020 at Goodall Witcher Nursing Facility, Clifton, Texas.
She was born May 23, 1930 in Larned, the daughter of Monta and Fairy Millhouse Meals.
A longtime area resident she was the office manager for a Marie Callender’s restaurant. She was a member and elder of the First Presbyterian Church, Larned; a member of the Presbyterian Synod in both Kansas and Missouri; a member of the D.A.R. for fifty years; a member of the Larned Garden Club, Red Hat Society, and E.H.U.; a 4-H club leader for the Pawnee Peppers, and a county chairperson for the Republican party.
On August 22, 1952 she married C.M. Phinney at Dodge City; he preceded her in death on March 27, 2003.
She is survived by her daughter, Deb Phinney, Clifton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Monte Phinney, and a sister, Barbaranne Whitehair.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with Pastor Bill Stapleton presiding. Service will be viewable via Facebook Live at www.facebook.com/beckwithmortuary. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial in Belpre Cemetery, Belpre.
