LARNED — Matilda (Tillie) Mary Stejskal, 93, passed away June 30, 2018, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, Larned, Kan. She was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Great Bend, Kan., the daughter of Arthur and Mary Nordman Hagerman. A lifetime area resident, she was a homemaker and farmer.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned. She was also a member of Shiley Homemaker EHU, The Rozel Quilting Club, Burdett Library Board and Burdett Senior Center.
On April 10, 1947, she married Edward L. Stejskal in Larned. He passed away July 17, 1976.
Survivors include her children, Mary Perez, Larned, Kan., Janice (Stephen) Heit, Larned, Kan., Donald (Donna) Stejskal, Burdett, Kan., and Carol (Mike) Loose, Vienna, Va.; ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward; and son-in-law, John Perez.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Larned, with Father Bernard Felix presiding. Vigil and Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Monday at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Visitation will be held Monday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. Burial will be at the Larned Cemetery following the service.
