ELLINWOOD — Matthew W. DeBusk, 45, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at his home in Ellinwood. He was born on Sept. 23, 1974, in Great Bend, Kan. to Raymond E. and Eleanor L. (Boese) DeBusk.
A lifetime Barton and Stafford county resident, Matthew was a truck driver for the Venture Corporation in Great Bend. He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed guns, video games and Nascar races. He was a proud father of his son, and uncle to his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include, his mother, Eleanor L. Fertig of St. John; his son, David J. DeBusk of Scott City; two sisters, Christy DeBusk of Great Bend, and Amanda Feil (Christopher) of Salina; a brother, Ivor DeBusk of Dodge City; and three nephews and three nieces. He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond E. DeBusk and step mother, Linda K. DeBusk; and step father, Jim Fertig.
There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place. Graveside services are pending and will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
