Michael Anthony Halseth, 51, died Jan. 3 at his home in Great Bend. Born April 29, 1962, at Topeka, he was the son of Henry “Hank” and Jane (Wilson) Halseth. On May 12, 2006, he married Utonia Bowman in Great Bend. A resident of Great Bend since 2002, coming from Meriden, he was a school district custodian and worked in construction.
Survivors include his wife, Utonia Halseth, of the home; parents, Henry “Hank” and Jane Halseth of Rock Creek; three sons, Brian Alan Halseth and his wife Jodi of Portage, Mich., Anthony Michael Halseth and his wife Kim of Topeka, and Terry Leishing and his wife Carrie of Great Bend; two daughters, Jaqueline Kaufman and her husband Dan and Jennifer Halseth and Eric Doherty, both of Topeka; two brothers, Bradley Allen Halseth and his wife Patricia of Great Bend, and Hank Halseth Jr. and his wife Kim of Topeka; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Jaydyn Halseth.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Scott V. Solether officiating. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
