FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Mitchell “Bones” Ray Smith, 52, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away June 15, 2012 in Fayetteville, Ark. Born May 14, 1960 in Hutchinson, he was the son of Richard H. Smith and Carma Heckathorn Hughey. He was a graduate of Holdenville, Oklahoma high school and attended Okmulgee Technical School.
Mr. Smith was a Christian who enjoyed music, motorcycles and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include his mother, Carma Hughey, of the home; brother, Don Lee Smith of Fayetteville, Ark.; special friends Stacey Berkshire, Rex Lowery and Chuck Adkins, all of Fayetteville, Ark.; as well as many other friends. He was preceeded in death by his father, Richard H. Smith; and grandparents, Ray H. and Alluwe Smith and Carmen and Dan Cook.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Staurday at Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayettevill, Ark. with Pastor Ray Baggett officiating. A private burial will be held in Shawnee, Okla. at a later date. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements will be under the direction of Beard’s Funeral Chapel in Fayetteville.
