Morton Dale Manwarren 1929-2012

HUTCHINSON — Morton “Dale” Wanwarren, 83, died Aug. 9, 2012 at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 4, 1929 at Mitchell, Kansas, the son of Carl Belmont and Edith May Hubbard Manwarren.
He married Ruth E. Kruse Aug. 20, 1950 at Frederick, Kansas. She died July 9, 2007. He graduated from Sterling High in 1947 and retired after 31 years at Northern Natural Gas Company in Bushton. The former Lyons resident resided in Hutchinson since 1997. Memberships include Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson; 100F, Lyons; former member First Baptist Church, Lyons; and president, Waldron Place residents council.
Survivors include, a son, Thomas Manwarren and wife Donna, Greenwood, Mo.; two daughters, Brenda Horyna and husband Robert, Hutchinson; Paula Manwarren and Marvin Webster, Rose Hill; three sisters, Violet Waggoner, Wichita; Ann Messick, Hutchinson; Nancy Phillips, McPherson; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death as his parents and a son-in-law Robert Cousins.
A funeral service is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday at the Countryside Baptist Church, Hutchinson with Rev. Cliff Kirk officiating. Burial will be the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Elliott Mortuary in Hutchinson with family present.
Memorial contributions can be made to Countryside Baptist Church or Waldron Place in care of the Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
