LYONS — Myron Duane Biehler, 71, of Lyons, Kan., passed away July 8, 2024, at his home. He was born Feb. 15, 1953, in Lyons, the son of Howard R. and Lois J. (Doughty) Biehler. Myron was a lifelong Rice County resident. He graduated from Bushton High School with the class of 1971, and later attended Garden City Community College, where he ran track and played football. Myron was a cowboy and craftsman.
He was a member of the Frederick Baptist Church, where he was baptized; and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Myron enjoyed horses, horseshoeing, and welding.
Myron is survived by his seven children, Roger Biehler and wife Brandy of Ashland, Kan., Troy Biehler and wife Catie of Hutchinson, Kan., Melinda Brewton and husband Lucas of Concord, N.C., Lyndsey Winter and husband Aaron of Wichita, Kan., Alex Biehler and wife Amanda of Winston-Salem, N.C., Josh Biehler and fiancé Liza Johnson of Wichita, Kan., and Robert Biehler of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Merle Biehler of Great Bend, Kan.; sister, Kathy Drake and husband Dave of Great Bend, Kan.; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Gwen Rogers.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with Pastor Curtis Fitzgerald officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday, July 15, 2024, at Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, with family present. Burial will follow at the Frederick Cemetery, Frederick, Kan. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Reins of Hope in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons.
