ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Opal Georgia McCutchan, 94, died Sept. 14th. Born on March 14, 1919 in Minneapolis, she was the daughter of Roy Bryne Messex and Grace Travis Messex. She was a resident of the area since 1957.
Ms. McCutchan was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include two sons, Morris L. McCutchan (Sue) of Mulberry, Ark. and Marlan McCutchan (Sally) of Aransas Pass, Texas; a daughter, Shirley Moses (Bill) of Katy, Texas; seven grandchildren, Bryne and Kevin McCutchan, Marla Jo Hagaman, Kyle and Gary Moses, Carey
Longman, and Christine Kimes; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Morris I. McCutchan; sisters, Edith Ogle, Susie Messex; and brothers, Roy John Messex and Hiram Messex
Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, at the Hoisington Cemetery with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Friends may call from 2 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home in Hoisington.
