Opal L. (Koeller) Stahl 1930 - 2010


SHEBOYGAN FALLS, Wis. — Opal L. (Koeller) Stahl, 79, of Sheboygan Falls, Wis, passed away Sept. 21, 2010, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
Born on Oct. 27, 1930, in Ellinwood, she was the daughter of Ira and Anna (Kerkoska) Alexander. On May 31, 1949, she married William James Koeller in Great Bend. William preceded her in death in 1995. Opal married Eddie Bender in 1998; he preceded her in death in 1998. She was then married to Donald Stahl on August 16, 2002, in Sheboygan, Wis. She was employed as an office manager for Craig Construction in Great Bend for 10 years. She also worked with her husband Bill Koeller at Koeller Enterprises Inc. and Mobilefone of Kansas. She was most recently employed as a caretaker for Elder Care until her retirement in 2000.
Opal was a member of Blessed Trinity Parish in Sheboygan Falls, Wis. and St. Rose Catholic Church in Great Bend, where she served on the St. Rose Altar Society. She was a past vice president of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary and served as a past officer of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Order of Elks. She was a member of the Lake Barton Golf Course and Petroleum Club. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed teaching junior golf at the Petroleum Club.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; two daughters, Carol Hultberg, Bellevue, Wash., and Karen (Dennis) McKnight, Sheboygan Falls, Wis.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Evelyn) Alexander, Wichita; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, Bill and Eddie; one son, William Douglas (Laura Ann) Koeller; one daughter, Kathy Sue Ebner; four sisters; two brothers; and her beloved dog, Miss Hootie.
 A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Don Bedore presiding. Burial of cremains will be at Great Bend Cemetery immediately following the Mass. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Sheboygan County Humane Society, 3107 North 20th St, Sheboygan, WI. 53083.
