Patricia Ann Pat Breitkreutz 1935 - 2013

WAMEGO — Patricia Ann “Pat” Breitkreutz, 77, passed away June 17 at St. Francis Health Center in Topeka. She was born Oct. 27, 1935, at Great Bend, the daughter of William and Vernie Banks Murphy. She attended Great Bend schools.
Survivors include a son, Jim (Courtney) Breitkreutz, Kansas City, Mo.; a daughter, Holly (Jeremy) Harwood, St. Marys; a sister, Mickey Murray, Great Bend; a sister-in-law, Willie Murphy, Farmington, N.M.; grandchildren, Larissa (Chris) Munson, Wamego, Alexis Patterson, Hutchinson, Kody Harwood, St. Marys and Zac Breitkreutz, Kansas City, Mo.;  and three great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Earl, George, Jack, Jimmy and Verna; a niece, Kim Schwartz; and two brothers-in-law, Walt Murray and Leroy Krom.
Pat’s wishes were to be cremated. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 22, at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys, where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Memorial contributions may be made in Patricia’s name to help offset funeral expenses and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home. Online condolences may be sent to www.piperfuneralhome.com.
