GREAT BEND — Patricia Arlone (Krinhop) Carlson, 85, of Great Bend, formerly of Chapman, passed away July 3, 2018, in Hays, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Friday, March 17, 1933, in Junction City, to Elmer and Hazel Krinhop.
She proudly graduated from Dickinson County Community High School in Chapman, in 1951. She married Duane Lloyd Carlson September 18, 1960, at the Lutheran church in Chapman. They worked and had fun bowling in Manhattan, before moving to Great Bend. Her first job in Great Bend was with the city as an office assistant. She quickly moved to work as a secretary for NCRA before retiring.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, Mark and Laurie Carlson. Overland Park and Michael and Susan Carlson, Great Bend; four granddaughters Shanna, Alexandra, Nicole, and Jordan; brother, DeWain Krinhop, Chapman; and sister, Karyn Ashburn, Salina.
She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and brothers, Kenneth and Harvey.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2018, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at Bryant Funeral Home on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Aaron Winthrow and Rev. Barbara Jones presiding. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Indian Hills Cemetery in Chapman.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for memorials to be designated to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
