SCOTT CITY — Patricia Atwood, 51, passed away on Jan. 8, at her home in Garden City. Born Oct. 9, 1959, in Garden City, she was the daughter of Milton W. and Elsie F. Turley Wright. On Sept. 2, 1978, she married Warren Feldt in Scott City, and to this union three children were born. She later married Steve Atwood on April 6, 1991, in Elkhart. Patricia was a cosmetologist and worked for Pioneer Manor in Hugoton for 14 years as a Certified Medication Aide before she moved to Garden City in 2010 from Elkhart.
Mrs. Atwood was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City.
Survivors include two daughters, Amanda and Jeff DeBusk of Garden City, and Catherine and Rodrigo Jurado of Roosevelt, Utah; her mother, Elsie Wright of Scott City; a sister, Cindy Oeser of Great Bend; a brother, Bill Wright of Scott City; a grandson, Alex DeBusk of Garden City; a granddaughter, Rebecca DeBusk of Garden City; three nieces and five nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; an infant son, Virgil Feldt; and a brother, Timothy Wright.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the First Christian Church in Scott City with Steve Payne officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date at the Scott County Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Patricia Atwood Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
