GREAT BEND — Patricia Lynn “Patty” Michael, 49, died March 29, 2012 at Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Born Jan. 25, 1963 in Hoisington, she was the daughter of Gilbert J. and Joyce M. (Burkhart) Sander. On Feb. 14, 1994 she married James B. Michael in Evergreen, Colo. A Great Bend resident for most of her life, she was a cook for Central Kansas Medical Center for 14 years and a cook and CNA for Rush County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care.
Mrs. Michael was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, James B. Michael, of the home; and five sisters, Sharon Fox, Manchester, Mo.; Becky Wornkey and Shirley Tomlin, both of Great Bend; Debbie Shank, Hays; and Connie Sander, Black Hawk, Colo.
She was preceded in death by one brother, James Sander; and one nephew, Darren Wornkey.
Memorial services are scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Bryant Funeral Home with Mark Tomlin officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
Memorials are suggested to the Patricia Michael Memorial Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
