Patricia “Pat” Brabander, 64, died June 23, 2016 at Great Bend regional Hospital. She was born Sept. 8, 1951 at Newton, the daughter of Raymond and Darlene (Proffitt) Striat. She married David W. Brabander April 1, 1991 at Great Bend.
She worked in housekeeping at Central Kansas Medical Center. Mrs. Brabander was a Great Bend resident since 1989.
Survivors include her husband David Brabander, of the home; two sons, Tom Larkin and his wife Kerri of Onalaska, Texas, and Jason Brabander of Park City; two daughters, Tamara Gardinier of Great Bend, and Jill Jackson and her husband Jesse of McPherson; one sister, Kathy Elliott of Great Bend; one brother, Dennis Striat of Hutchinson; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 27 at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Don Paden officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Patricia Brabander Funeral Expense Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
