MACKSVILLE — Patty Rose (Standish) Piland, age 95 passed away on Oct. 6, 2023 at Hoisington, Kan. She was born on March 9, 1928 at rural Radium, Kan., the daughter of Earl Otto and Rose E. (Strobel) Standish.  

Patty was a farm wife and member of the Macksville Grace Church. On Apr. 26, 1950, she married Eston L. Piland at Hutchinson, Kan. He passed away in 2012.  

Survivors include two sons, Donald (Shelly) Piland, Macksville, Kan., Russell (Malou) Piland, Oceanside, Calif.; a daughter, Janet (Dennis) Walker, Buena Vista, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo and Harold Standish.  

Visitation will be on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2023 from 1-6 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Macksville, Kan. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 at Macksville Grace Church, Macksville, Kan., Rev. Teresa Wynn presiding. Burial will follow in the Farmington Cemetery, Macksville, Kan. Memorials may be given to Macksville Grace Church or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in care of Minnis Chapel, P.O. Box 34, St. John, KS  67576.
