ELLINWOOD -- Paul T. Friebus, 75, died April 9 at the Woodhaven Care Center.
Paul was born February 9, 1936, in Russell County, the son of Carl C. and Emma  (Galliart) Friebus.
Mr. Friebus was a longtime resident of Claflin and Ellinwood who served with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a retired custodian of the Claflin and Holyrood school districts, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Claflin and St. John Lutheran Church, Ellinwood.
Survivors include a sister, Clara Seyfert,  Ellinwood; three nieces, Ruth Billinger and husband, Steve, Wilson; Karen Rabenseifner and husband, Ed, Seward; and Donna Smith and husband, Gary, Coldwater; seven great nieces and nephews; three step-great nieces and nephews; 13 great-great- nieces and nephews and 11 step-great-great nieces and nephews.
A funeral service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with Rev. Jeffrey Frakes presiding.
Interment will be at the Claflin Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to  8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. until service time Tuesday.
