ST. JOHN — Phyllis Joan (Reynolds) Staub, 82, passed away April 11, 2017, at Kenwood Plaza, St. John. She was born on July 28, 1934, at Macksville, the daughter of Basil Leno and Laura Jane (Spangler) Reynolds. She married Victor Lee Staub on Sept. 9, 1952, at Macksville. She graduated from Macksville High School in 1952, attended Salt City Business College in Hutchinson and was owner of Staub Insurance Agency and Real Estate from 1974 to 2000.
She was a member of the Church of Christ, Martha Rebekah Lodge No. 425 and Red Hats. She enjoyed camping, golf, fishing and traveling and loved family gatherings.
Survivors include her husband Victor Staub; a son, Kim Staub (Brenda), Olsburg; two daughters, Tonya Sanders (Wade), St. John, and Lisa Irvin (Mike), Olsburg; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lenna Frye (Merwin), Bella Vista, Ariz., Doris Rice (Dennis), St. John, Catherine Naccarato (Duane), Rogers, Ariz., and Carol Knaus (Carl), Garden City; and a brother, Gordon Reynolds (Janis), Branson, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother Charles and infant sister Linda; a son, Dennis Lee; a great-grandson, Christopher Sanders and a great-granddaughter, Brynlin Sanders.
Memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 15, at Minnis Chapel, St. John, with the Rev. Carl Feril. Inurnment will follow at the Fairview Park Cemetery, St. John. Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with family receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be given to Kindred Hospice in care of the funeral home.
