ZOOK - R. L. Cauble, 85, passed away May 7, 2017 at Hays Medical Center. Born Jan. 30, 1932 in Larned, he was the son of Mearl E. and Edna M. Buhrer Cauble. A lifetime area resident he was a Cattle Buyer/Stockman.
He was a member of the Larned United Methodist Church; Kansas Cattleman’s Association, New Mexico Stock Growers’ Association and the Colorado Independent CattleGrowers Association.
On Nov. 22, 1953 he married Donna I. Strader in Larned; she passed away June 16, 2011.
Survivors include; two sons, Leon (Rosan), Olathe; and Merrill (Deb), Larned; a daughter, Tina Markham, Wichita; a sister, Dorthea James, Dighton; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and was Grandpa to all the kids he met.
He was preceded in death by; his wife, Donna; a sister, Rosemary Cauble and a son-in-law, John Markham.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Larned United Methodist Church with Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Zook, Kansas.
