Ralph A. Fink, 83, died March 24 at Hays Medical Center. Born Sept. 22, 1929 in Codell, he was the son of Ezekiel and Ethel (Stout) Fink. On May 29, 1955 he married Lillian L. Allen in Stafford. She died on Nov. 24, 2000. A resident of Great Bend since 2010, coming from Larned, he was employed as an aide at Larned State Hospital, previously working on a section gang for the railroad and in the oilfield.
Ralph served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the First Bible Baptist Church in Great Bend and N.R.A.
Survivors include a daughter, Rita K. Hayes and husband Jerry, of Great Bend; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd and Marion Fink; three sisters, Marthanna Roberts, Frances McCune, and Florence Bloom; and by one granddaughter, Jennifer Nicole.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Kevin Franklin officiating. Burial will be at the Hillcrest Memorial Park in Great Bend, with military rites by the United States Air Force Honor Guard. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home.
