Ralph Jim Irving Carson 1954 - 2016

MINNEAPOLIS, Kan. — Ralph “Jim” Irving Carson, 62, of Minneapolis, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 30, at Salina Regional Health Center. He was born April 7, 1954, in Salina, the son of Donna L. (Shelton) and Jimmie Kent Carson. He worked as an inventory control supervisor at Great Bend Manufacturing and was a machinist at Great Plains Manufacturing. He married Peggy Coleen Belden on April 21, 1973, in Salina.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; daughter, Tamiko “Tami” Schroeder, of Bison; two sisters, Donna Brehm and husband Mike of Lubbock, Texas, and Cindy Carson of Hays; and one brother, David Carson and wife Debra of Lake Stevens, Washington. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Megan Schroeder, Trace Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Betty Sayers.
At the family’s request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, at Highland Cemetery, New Cambria, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help with funeral expenses in care of the Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.
