GREAT BEND — Ramona Mae Durbin, 84, died Feb. 26, 2015 at her home in Great Bend.
She was born Nov. 12, 1930 at Ellsworth, the daughter of Herman and Mabel Bernice (Turley) Huseman.
She married Melvin Luis Kohls on Sept. 12, 1948 at Ellsworth. He died Jan. 26, 1962. She then married Jack Durbin May 9, 1981 at Enid, Okla. She was a brush tufter for Fuller Brush, retiring in 1991. Mrs. Durbin was a lifetime Great Bend resident.
She was a member of Fellowship of Faith and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Post No. 3111, both of Great Bend.
Survivors include her husband Jack Durbin, of the home; three sons, Doug Kohls and his wife Colleen, Great Bend; Phil Kohls and his wife Kathy, Garden City; and Kent Kohls and his wife Terri, Great Bend; four daughters, Lana Penney and her husband Mike, Great Bend; Terry Bigheart and her husband Mike, Enid, Okla.; Peggy Bartholomew and her husband John, Oklahoma City, Okla.; and Eva Neuforth, Great Bend; 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Casper Huseman and Carl Huseman; a sister, Daisy Conyers, a son-in-law, Gene Neuforth, and a grandson, Gavin Neuforth.
Funeral service is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Arlyn Thielenhaus officiating. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation is scheduled for 1-9 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Bryant Funeral Home.
Memorial Funds are suggested to the Golden Belt Humane Society or Almost Home, Inc., in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
