Raul Moreno, 76, of Great Bend, passed away on Sunday evening, March 23 at his Great Bend home. Born on Feb.20, 1938, at Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, he was the son of Victorio L. Moreno and Manuela Alonzo Carrasco. On Dec. 20, 1965, he was united in marriage to Alicia Valenzuela at Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. The couple moved to Great Bend in 1998. He owned and operated Latinos Video in Great Bend for five years and also was employed by the Best Western Angus Inn in Great Bend in the maintenance department and as delivery driver. An avid sports fan, Raul coached adult league baseball in Great Bend. He loved driving and especially enjoyed going to the casino.  
Mr. Moreno attended Ministerio de Poder Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include his wife, Alicia Moreno of Great Bend; one son, Raul and his wife, Dolores Galindo Moreno, of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico; four daughters, Hortencia Adame, Norma Alicia Moreno, Rocio and her husband, and Armando Leyva, all of Great Bend, Sonia Moreno and her companion, Ernesto Garcia of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rogelio and his wife, Yolanda Moreno and Hector Mario Moreno, both of Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Hortencia Moreno and Norma Moreno.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Charter Funerals in Great Bend. Cremation will follow with a Memorial Service to be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
