Ray Alvin Rolfs 1966 - 2012

ELLSWORTH — Ray Alvin Rolfs, 45, died April 15 at Salina Regional Medical Center. Born July 10, 1966 in Ellsworth, he was the son of Alvin D. and Johnetta G. Kaiser Rolfs. Formerly of Great Bend, he was a resident of Mosaic in Ellsworth. He attended schools in Geneseo and Lyons. He loved playing basketball and running track for Special Olympics.
Mr. Rolfs was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lyons.
Survivors include two brothers, Harland and Claudia Rolfs of Bartlesville, Okla. and Dennis and Kathy Rolfs of Lorraine; two sisters, Janet Bell of Salina and Jolene and Ben Amerine of Surprise, Ariz.; 11 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and great-nephews; and two great-aunts and uncles, Glen and Arlene Rolfs of Geneseo,  and Thayne and Leona Krause of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at Grace Lutheran Church in Lyons with Pastor Mike Herzberg officiating. Burial will be at the Geneseo Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church or Prader-Willi Syndrome Association, in care of the funeral home,
