Rebecca “Becky” Stonebraker, 81, loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, friend, and teacher passed away June 15, 2020 at Brookdale Senior Living in Great Bend. She was born December 30, 1938. Growing up on the family farm with her siblings and loving parents, Dude and Dot Hannan, was a favorite memory. Becky was proud to be a Hannan and looked forward to the family reunion every year.
Becky was married to Byron “Buddy” Stonebraker 61 years. Buddy preceded her in death May 24, 2020. She was a dedicated and caring teacher for over thirty years at Riley Elementary School and Park Elementary School. Trips to Colorado, hiking, reading, and spending time with family were favorite pastimes.
Survivors include, daughter, Cathryn Stos and husband Melvin; and son, David Stonebraker and wife Deb; granddaughters, Megan (Joe) Roop and Kristen (David) McAdams; great grandchildren, Cathryn Dailey, Beatrice Dailey, and Fynn Roop; siblings, Rodney Hannan, Audrey McMullen, Frankie Graham, and Vic Hannan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Byron Stonebraker; and sisters, Mary Hannan Patee and Cledery Lewis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date and will be announced by family. Memorials are suggested to Park Elementary School, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
