Reinder Carl Ringwald 1923 - 2015

ELLINWOOD — Reinder Carl Ringwald, 92, died on June 22, 2015, in Great Bend. Born June 19, 1923, in rural Rice County he was the son of Reinder W. and Arrendiena (Soeken) Ringwald. On May 18, 1952, he married Edna Claudine Ewalt in Great Bend. She survives. A lifetime resident of rural Rice County and Ellinwood, he was a farmer/stockman until his retirement in 2010.
Mr. Ringwald was baptized in St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, and was a lifetime member of the church.   
Survivors include his loving wife, Edna Claudine; two daughters, Constance J. Sudbeck and husband George of Ellinwood, and Carrie L. Ringwald of Chase; and one son, Cletis R. Ringwald of Lyons;, 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Calvin L. Ringwald; four sisters, Gesina Honnen, Antje Dobrinski, Minnie McQuilliam, and Dorthea Juergensen; and a brother, Wessel Ringwald.
Pursuant to his wishes, cremation has occurred. There will be no visitation or graveside service. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on July 10, at St. John Lutheran Church in Ellinwood, with the Reverend Lloyd Sprick officiating. Visitation with the family will immediately follow the service. Memorials are suggested to St. John Lutheran Church, American Cancer Society, or donor’s choice in care of the funeral home.
