Reymundo Martinez, 27, passed away on Oct. 11, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born on Dec. 29, 1986, in Garden City, he was the son of Martin Martinez and Lupe (Rubio) Martinez. He moved to Great Bend, at an early age and worked construction with his godfather, Arturo Escamilla.
Survivors include one son, Cayden Rey Martinez of Ellinwood; his father, Martin Martinez of Mexico and his mother, Lupe Rubio of Colorado; three brothers, Reynaldo Martinez (his twin brother), and Herman and Ernesto Montez, all of Great Bend; one sister, Guadalupe Martinez of Mexico.  
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church of Prince of Peace Parish in Great Bend with Father Don Bedore, celebrant. Interment will be at the Great Bend City Cemetery North.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, with a Vigil Service and Rosary at 7 p.m., at Charter Funerals in Great Bend. Memorials may be directed to the Reymundo Martinez Memorial Fund to help defray funeral expenses.
