THAILAND — Richard A. Poage passed away in his sleep at his home in Thailand on Jan. 23, with his companion by his side. Born on Sept. 6, 1940, in Great Bend, he was the son of Marion and Irene Poage. Born and raised in Great Bend he worked in the oilfields, like his father, from the age of 17 until retiring from offshore drilling 10 years ago in Thailand.
