HOISINGTON — Richard Lee Evans, 88, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 at Cherry Village Nursing Home in Great Bend.
He was born Dec. 14, 1924 at Blackwell, Okla. the son of Fred and Pearl Evans.
Richard moved to Hoisington in 1961 coming from Blackwell, Okla. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He married Donna Boyd on Oct. 29, 1950 at Kingman. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post No. 7428 in Hoisington. Richard enjoyed fishing, camping, puzzle books, and watching football.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Evans, Great Bend; three daughters, Jeanine Evans, Judith Evans, Kristine Depiesse and husband Jon all of Hoisington; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, and family friend, Gary Ummel.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Edith Evans; two brothers, Wilbur Evans, and Melvin Evans.
There will be no services or public visitation as cremation has taken place.
