Rita K. Rowe, 55, passed away at her home in Great Bend on Aug. 24, 2016. Born on July 9, 1961, at Ellinwood, she was the daughter of George Howard and Laura Avey (Phillips) Kepford. She attended school at Ellinwood and later at Great Bend. She worked at Barton Community College and the Golden Belt Grill, both of Great Bend. She enjoyed good food, word search puzzles, listening to music, and watching old movies.

Rita was of the Christian faith.

Survivors include one brother, Charles H. and wife, Tammy, Kepford of Wichita; two sisters, Karen D. Kepford of Larned, and Laurie L. Kepford of Chino, Calif.; and one uncle, Jeremiah Huffman and wife, Mary, of Great Bend. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather Francis D. Huffman; one sister Debbie S. Kepford; and one great-nephew, Zadinen Glenn.

Cremation has been chosen. There will be no viewing or services held at this time. Inurnment will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family.
