Robert (Bob) Raymond Ewald 1931 - 2013

BILLINGS, Mo. — Robert (Bob) Raymond Ewald, 81, passed away on May 2, in Billings, Mo. He was born on July 30, 1931 in Great Bend. On June 4, 1954, he married Shirley Joan Ewald (Wolfe) in Ellinwood. He worked at Blount Industries for 20 years.
Bob was in the United States Navy from 1949 to 1969. He retired from the U.S. Navy. He volunteered at the DAV, VFW, American Legion, Fleet Reserve, and Mercy Volunteer.
Survivors include, his wife Shirley; three children Michael and wife Paula Ewald, Craig and wife Kay Ewald and Douglas Ewald; two grandchildren, Nick Ewald and Chelsea Harrison; one great-grandchild, Eva K. Ewald; five brothers, Jerome and wife Elvera Ewald, Marvin and wife Marg Bieberle, Ron and wife Paula Bieberle, Gordon Bieberle, Floyd and wife Peggy Bieberle; three sisters, Joyce and husband Dan Leiker, Bernidine and husband Don Overman and Corrine Batchman, and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his father; stepfather; mother; and brother.  
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South. Burial will follow at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Humane Society or Paws Pantry in Republic Mo.
