BURDETT — Robert C. Gorman, 83, passed away Dec. 11, 2016, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born March 16, 1933, in Waco, Texas, he was the son of J. Paul and Winnie Reagen Gorman. On Dec. 27, 1965, He married Cleo M. Warner in Burdett. She survives. A lifetime area resident he was an Oil and Gas Engineer.
Mr. Gorman was a member of Faith Fellowship Church, American Legion in Burdett, the Society of Petroleum Engineers and the American Society of Safety Engineers.
Other survivors include, two sons, Robert (Sheila) Gorman, of McPherson and Paul (Erin) Gorman, of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Kathy (Roger) Stoll, of Niamey Niger, West Africa; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Gorman.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Doug Ellison presiding. Burial will be in Brown’s Grove Cemetery in Burdett. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and Wednesday, with family present from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned.
