REDFORD, Mich. — Robert Lynn Humphrey, 71, died July 23 in Redford, Mich. Born May 18, 1943, in Great Bend, he was the son of Henry Ray and Lenora Caroline (Ochs) Humphrey. In 1961, he graduated from Hoisington High School and then attended Kansas State University. He eventually moved to Michigan where he worked for Nielsen TV Ratings and then for a trucking company until his retirement.
Mr. Humphrey was a United States Navy veteran, serving for four years, being discharged June 1, 1967.
Survivors include two sisters, Carol Clarke and her husband Joe, and Rebecca Maier and her husband Harlan, all of Hoisington; one brother, Kenneth Humphrey and his wife Janene, of Longview, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one niece and one nephew.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Memorials are requested to the Robert Humphrey Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
