PAWNEE ROCK — Robert N. Manka Jr., 79, passed away January 31, 2018 at his home, Pawnee Rock, Kansas.
He was born February 13, 1938 in Lawrence County, Missouri; the son of Robert M. and Jessie Lone Manka. A longtime area resident; he was a welder.
He was of the Christian Faith.
Survivors include; three sons, Robert (Tauni) Manka III, Great Bend, Greg (Veronica) Manka, Overland Park, James (Tammy) Manka, Larned; a daughter, Susan (Steven) Vondracek, Dorrance; a sister, Kaye Barnes, Dodge City; eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, John Howerton; a brother, Philip Manka; one sister, Gloria Wondra and a granddaughter, Georgia Manka.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at the Larned Cemetery, Larned, Kansas with Pastor Jarred Smith presiding. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday with family present from 2-4 p.m. at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned. The casket will remain closed. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
