Robert William Shewbart 1990-2012


GREAT BEND — Robert William Shewbart, 21, died May 23, 2012 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
He was born Oct. 24, 1990 at Great Bend, the son of Willie Clarence Paskel and Connie Lea Shewbart.
He was a care provider for Rosewood Services, Inc. He was a lifetime Great Bend resident. He attended the First Christian Church.  He was active in Great Bend Panther football, track and field, and was videographer for the boys basketball team.  He loved working with children and passing on life experiences.
Survivors include his mother, Connie Lea Williams and her husband Keith, Great Bend; a daughter, Nina Elizabeth Shewbart, Great Bend; a brother, Tyrone Shewbart and his wife Amber, Great Bend; grandparents, Sharon Engle, Great Bend; and Bob and Beverly Shewbart, Nickerson; uncles, Lynn Engle and his wife Diane, Great Bend; Ryan Engle and his wife Rita, Great Bend; Larry Engle and his wife Gail, Las Vegas, Nev.; aunts, Brenda Sauer and her husband Ron, Oklahoma City, Okla.; Terri Jo Rand and her husband John, Oklahoma City; Carla JoAnn Warren, Oklahoma City; Carrie Shewbart, Keller, Texas; Karla Schartz and her husband Bert, Larned; cousins, Tyler Rand, Great Bend; Auston Brown and wife Molly, Hutchinson; Dustin Brown and wife Tara, Great Bend; Jessica Warren, Norman, Okla.; Marvin Warren, Oklahoma City; Eric Rand, Mustang, Okla.; Jenny Ramsey and husband Ben, Larned; Cody Engle and wife Kristi, Great Bend; Tricia Smith and husband Justin, Larned; Kristin Schartz, Larned; Bailey Schartz, Larned; Ryan Alefs, Great Bend; Shelly Ramsey, Great Bend; Lilly Morrison, Great Bend; and Sapphire Shewbart, Great Bend
He was preceded in death by his father, Willie Clarence Paskel; his grandfather, Bob Engle; and a nephew, Brodie James Shewbart.
A Memorial Service is scheduled at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 26 at First Christian Church in Great Bend with The Reverend William F. Johnson officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the church parlor.    
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Robert Shewbart Park School Memorial Scholarship, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
