LARNED — Roger Alan Caldwell, 69, died Jan. 29 at Hays Medical Center in Hays. Born Jan. 12, 1943, in Tulsa, Okla., he was the son of Franklin Eugene and Lucille Hicks Caldwell. On Feb. 16, 1990, he married Charlotte Boris in Tallahassee, Fla. She died Jan. 12, 2008. He was an account executive for Fox 49, in Tallahassee, Fla.
Mr. Caldwell served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, a member and board member of the Larned Country Club, both of Larned, and the Qunicy Country Club in Florida.
Survivors include a son, Alan Caldwell of Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, Kimberly Zardas of Tulsa, Okla., and Kathy Lincoln of East Taunton, Mass.; a sister, Marilyn Bell of Larned; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Clarence Allen and James Franklin Caldwell.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Larned, with the Rev. Bill Fitzgerrel presiding. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Beckwith Mortuary in Larned. Cremation will take place after the service. Memorials may be sent to the United Methodist Church in Larned or the Larned Country Club, in care of the mortuary.
