Ronald Lee Reneau 1957 - 2015

SEWARD — Ronald Lee Reneau, 57, passed away April 13, 2015 at the University of Colorado Hospital. He was born on Dec. 13, 1957, in Kiowa. He lived most of his life in the Hudson, St John and Seward area. He joined US Navy right after high school graduation and spent time in the Philippines, Japan and Hawaiian Islands. He trained with the United States Navy Seals as their Assault Coxman.
Survivors include his daughter Betsy Howard and husband Justin of Rawlins, Wyo.; a brother, Kenneth Reneau; four sisters, Laressa Gardner, Barbara Koester, Anita Barker and Candy Zaske; four nieces; seven nephews; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by both parents, Hobart Dean (Dean) Reneau and Bessie Francis Reneau (Karp); and grandparents, William Hobart and Bernice Reneau and Charlie and Laura Karp.
Ron donated his body to Science Care to help the Medical students and staff who gave him such extraordinary care. He also donated his eyes and body tissue to designated banks. An Open House gathering to celebrate his life will be held from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Mom’s Bar and Grill in Seward. Graveside services will be announced at a later date.
