Rosaline Herren, 79, died on Feb. 15 at home in Great Bend. She was born July 26, 1934 at La Crosse, the daughter of Wendelin and Dorothy (Herl) Herrman.
She was a food manager for Great Bend Senior Center until her illness prevented her working.
Ms. Herren was a Great Bend, Kansas resident most of her life. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church, and the Altar Society, both of Great Bend.  She enjoyed playing bingo and working in her flower garden.
She is survived by one son: Steven Herren of Great Bend; three daughters: Debbie Filler and her husband Mike of Garland, Texas;  Joan Sander and her husband Kirk of Great Bend; and Jean Rea and her husband Leslie of Great Bend; two brothers: Linus Herrman of Almo, Texas, and Leo Herrman of Great Bend; 12 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant son, Marty Paul Herren; three brothers, Wendelin Herrman, Jr., Thomas Herrman, and Hilbert Herrman; and four sisters, Leota Sittingdown, Theresa Schartz, Leona Yarmer, and Marie Schartz.
Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m., Monday at Bryant Funeral Home. Vigil Service will be  at 7 p.m., Monday, at Bryant Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Great Bend. Interment will be at  Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested St. Rose Foundation to benefit the Heartland Cancer Center, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
