Rose Bryant 1942 - 2015

HOISINGTON — Rose Marie Bryant, 73, died Jan. 17, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Jan. 7, 1942, in Chase, she was the daughter of George and Georgia (Moore) Bird. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Lincoln. On Jan. 27, 1961, she married Carl Lee Bryant in Lincoln. A longtime resident of Hoisington, she was employed for 17 1/2 years as a CNA on the night shift at Cheyenne Meadows Nursing Home. She and her husband both shared a love of fishing.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Lee Bryant, of the home; one son, Vivian Bryant of Great Bend; two daughters, Louann Clark and husband Lawrence of Hoisington and Janice Lauber and husband Daniel of Great Bend; one sister, Ann Otting of Abilene; one brother, Bill Bird of Abilene; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Roy Bryant; brothers, Almon Bird and Leonard Bird; and one sister, Norma Bird.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home Chapel in Hoisington with the Rev. Dick Ogle officiating. Burial will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today and from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, both at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.nicholsonrickefh.net.
