Sandra L. "Sandi" Simmons, 67, died Nov. 11 at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born May 14, 1944 in Great Bend she was the daughter of Gerhardt LaVern and Delora Jean (McCullough) Nuss. She was married to Gary Simmons for 35 years. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she was the owner and operator of Great Bend Floral for 38 years.

Mrs. Simmons was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Simmons, of the home; her mother, Delora Nuss, of Great Bend; a son, Shane Simmons, of Great Bend; a daughter, Stephanie Simmons, of Norco, Calif.; two brothers, Terry Nuss of Golden, Colo. and Greg Nuss, of Great Bend; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Gerhardt Nuss.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Doyle Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Golden Belt Memorial Park in Great Bend. Friends may visit from 1 to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m., today at the funeral home.
