BISON — Shirley O. Cannady, 98, of Bison, died Sept. 16 at the Rush County Nursing Home, La Crosse. She was born March 16, 1912, at Altoona, the daughter of Harry F. and Nettie C. (Wright) Davis. She married Paul M. Cannady on May 22, 1938, at Wichita. He died April 25, 1997. Mrs. Cannady was a resident of Bison since 1998, moving from Neodesha. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Marcia Ochs of Bison and Celia Beaman of Pataskala, Ohio; a sister, Margie Gray, of Fredonia; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be given to the Rush County Nursing Home.
